This is a seriously slippery slope, as it's a huge genre, and of only nominal importance to the campaign setting. For simplicity's sake, let's at least narrow the field to those set no later than the Qing dynasty, or a fantasy setting. I'll start with a few of my favorites, and will probably add to the list as others come to me.


  1. Iron Monkey
  2. Once Upon a Time in China (Wong Fei Hung, a sort of Chinese Robin Hood character)
  3. Drunken Master
